In the past few years, we’ve had more women join us than in any period before. And we love it. In fact, CRST has double the national average of women truck drivers. Truck driving should be accessible to everyone and that’s true for our trainees as well. We focus on helping people launch successful careers, with great tools and support. Our track record for starting people in this industry is proof that we’re passionate about everyone succeeding.
Like many recent CDL-A graduates, I was overwhelmed by the amount of carriers out there. With CRST, they set you up with the tools and training you need to get your best start, but you still have to be prepared to work. Say yes to loads, be on time and ask questions and you’re pretty much guaranteed a solid driving career with CRST. The first year is always the toughest, but you have to look at it as an investment.
Driving over the road can be challenging, but it is so much easier if you and your teammate work together when it comes to taking shifts, sleeping and getting in home time. And, because CRST allows you to bring on a partner of your choice, my husband decided to join me. Since then, my team driving experience has been amazing.
There’s a reason CRST puts such a high emphasis on safety training. They want their drivers to feel confident before they ever get out on the road. Best part is you’re never alone, so don’t be afraid to speak up when you need a break. And don’t speed, ever. Tickets are too expensive and, at the end of the day, you’re responsible for keeping yourself and others safe on the road.
After talking to dozens of carrier recruiters, CRST Expedited really stood out as a place you could earn great money without having to wait years. Yes, OTR would be a challenge, but I knew I could get some serious miles behind me. Now, I own my truck and if it weren’t for that experience, I’d probably still be carrier hopping.
I moved to the U.S. in 2015, leaving my home country and all I knew, in search of a better life. Truck driving gave me a purpose; a chance to see my new country and make money. Best of all, I feel like part of the family at CRST and now I have a place to call home.
My brother Tom and I were working in the service industry with no time to take a real vacation. I told him I was considering being a truck driver and found out CRST has a company-sponsored training program. When we both finished, we asked to be teamed up. Now we're traveling the country. Best move ever.
I’d heard so many horror stories about going into debt over tuition and I certainly didn’t have the money to pay for it myself. The decision to join CRST was one of the best I ever made. My first year really catapulted my driving career and now I mentor the next generation of drivers.
