A Real Life Change
I came home to my last eviction notice.
It was the worst day of my life, and it’s also when I made the best decision of my life to stop banging my head against the wall and start over as a truck driver. I did CRST's training and had a job in my hands the day I graduated.
I became a driver for three simple reasons.
They are Nicolas, Martina and Sofia. When I come home, I'm proud that I can provide for them. I'm ahead of my bills because of CRST's generous pay and benefits. Now, I can put money away for all of our futures.
I've put 2 kids through college and I'm looking forward to retirement.
I've also paid off my mortgage. And my wife and I are thinking about becoming a team so we can retire sooner. Driving is a hard job, sure, but it's a stable provider. Even in tough times, we still get bills paid and earn. I didn't want to drive a taxi, and CRST was a far better choice for me.
After graduating high school, I knew college wasn't for me.
I'd heard so many horror stories about going into debt over tuition and I certainly didn't have the money to pay for it myself. The decision to join CRST was one of the best I ever made. My first year really catapulted my driving career and now I mentor the next generation of drivers.
